Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, embark on a game drive along the shores of the alkaline lake, famous for its vibrant flocks of flamingos. Beyond the birdlife, Nakuru is also a sanctuary for endangered black and white rhinos, and its acacia forests provide shelter to leopards, giraffes, and tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch or a meal at your lodge before heading out for another game drive in the afternoon. As the sun sets, settle in for dinner and an overnight stay at a lodge or camp inside the park.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, depart for the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, a breathtaking drive across Kenya’s countryside. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, then head out on your first game drive in the Mara. The vast plains are home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including elephants, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, and Africa’s apex predators—lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Keep your camera ready as you track these majestic animals and take in the sweeping landscapes. Return to your lodge for a delightful dinner under the African sky.

Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara

Spend the entire day exploring the Masai Mara on thrilling game drives. If traveling between July and October, you might witness the Great Migration—one of the world’s most incredible wildlife spectacles, as thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River, dodging crocodiles and predators. Throughout the day, track the Big Five, watch hippos in the Mara River, and observe herds of elephants grazing in the golden grasslands. For an unforgettable experience, you can opt for a sunrise hot air balloon safari, offering breathtaking aerial views of the reserve. End the day with an optional visit to a Maasai village to learn about their fascinating culture and traditions.

Day 4: Masai Mara to Nairobi & Departure

After breakfast, bid farewell to the Mara and begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Depending on your schedule, you may have time for a visit to the Giraffe Center or a final shopping stop before heading to the airport for your departure.
