Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up in Nairobi, followed by a scenic drive to Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is renowned for its large elephant herds, which roam freely against the iconic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Keep your eyes open for lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and buffalos before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Spend the entire day exploring Amboseli’s diverse landscapes, from open plains to marshes teeming with wildlife. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, offering the best chances to spot the Big Five and other fascinating species. Visit Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park and witness hippos in the swampy areas. In between game drives, relax at your lodge or opt for an optional cultural visit to a Maasai village.

Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is famous for its flocks of flamingos and is also a sanctuary for black and white rhinos. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive. Explore the shores of Lake Nakuru, spotting pelicans, waterbucks, and possibly even leopards lounging in the acacia trees. Conclude the day with a relaxing evening at your lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart after breakfast for the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations. Arrive in time for lunch at your camp or lodge before setting out on an afternoon game drive. The vast plains of the Mara are home to an abundance of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. As the sun sets over the savannah, return to your lodge for dinner and a restful night.

Day 5: Full Day in Masai Mara

Enjoy a full day exploring the Masai Mara, with morning and afternoon game drives offering incredible opportunities to see the Big Five and witness the raw beauty of nature. If visiting during the Great Migration (July–October), you may witness thousands of wildebeest crossing the Mara River in a dramatic survival spectacle. Optionally, take a hot air balloon safari at sunrise for a breathtaking aerial view of the reserve. A visit to a local Maasai village can also be arranged to experience their rich culture and traditions.

Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi & Departure

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi, with a stop for lunch en route. Depending on your schedule, you may have time for optional activities such as visiting the Giraffe Center before being transferred to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of an unforgettable safari adventure.
